1. Admission Policy

  • Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Applicants must have a high school diploma and a basic understanding of English to enroll in our IELTS & PTE preparation course.
  2. Our Spoken English courses are open to anyone aged 12 and above, with a basic knowledge of English.
  3. For the Personality Development courses, no specific educational qualifications are required, but students must be 16 years or older and committed to personal growth.
  • Enrollment Process:
  • Our institute follows a transparent and student-friendly admission process. We believe in assessing each student’s individual needs and placing them in the course that will best help them achieve their goals. From the initial application to the final enrollment, our dedicated team is here to guide you every step of the way.

2. Attendance Policy

  • General Expectations:
  1. We committed students’ full improvement but students are expected to attend all scheduled classes, sessions, and activities as part of their enrolled course. Regular attendance is crucial for effective learning and academic success.
  2. Punctuality is mandatory. Students should arrive on time for all classes. Late arrivals may result in being marked absent for that session.
  • Attendance Requirements:
    • Minimum Attendance: A minimum of 85% attendance is required to qualify for course completion and to receive a certificate of achievement.
    • Absenteeism: If a student misses more than 15% of the total course hours, they may be required to undertake additional work or attend make-up classes to meet the attendance requirement.
  • Reporting Absences:
    • Notification: If a student is unable to attend a class, they must notify the institute at least 24 hours in advance. In case of an emergency, notification should be given as soon as possible.
    • Documentation: For prolonged absences (more than three consecutive days), students must provide a valid reason with appropriate documentation, such as a medical certificate.
  • Excused Absences:
    • Excused absences include illness, family emergencies, or other significant events. Students should communicate with the instructor or administration to arrange for make-up work.
    • Make-Up Classes: Students with excused absences may attend make-up classes if available. It is the student’s responsibility to schedule these with the instructor.
  • Unexcused Absences:
    • No Notification: Failure to notify the institute about an absence will be considered unexcused.
    • Consequences: Unexcused absences may result in a reduction of marks, inability to participate in certain assessments, or even dismissal from the course for repeated offenses.
  • Consequences of Poor Attendance:
    • Students who do not meet the minimum attendance requirement may face academic penalties, including withholding of certificates, non-promotion to the next level, or exclusion from final exams.
    • In cases of excessive absenteeism, a meeting with the student, their guardians (if applicable), and the administration may be required to discuss the implications and possible solutions.

3. Code of Conduct

  • Respectful Communication: Maintain a professional and respectful tone in all interactions, whether with instructors, peers, or staff. Disruptive behavior or harassment will not be tolerated.
  • Punctuality: Attend all scheduled sessions on time. Inform the instructor in advance if you need to miss or reschedule a session.
  • Academic Integrity: Submit original work and avoid plagiarism. Cheating, copying, or sharing answers during assessments is strictly prohibited.
  • Active Participation: Engage actively in online discussions, assignments, and group work. Consistent participation is crucial for your success in the course.
  • Technology Etiquette: Ensure a stable internet connection and use appropriate devices for online classes. Keep your camera on during sessions unless instructed otherwise and minimize background noise.

4. Assessment Policy

1. Participation and Engagement (25%)

  • All Courses: Active participation in online classes, discussions, and group activities is critical. Students are expected to engage regularly and contribute meaningfully to class interactions, demonstrating a commitment to their learning process.

2. Weekly Assignments and Practice Tests (30%)

  • Spoken English: Weekly speaking assignments focused on improving fluency, pronunciation, and vocabulary.
  • IELTS: Practice tests for Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, with detailed feedback.
  • PTE: Automated practice tests for Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening, using PTE scoring criteria.
  • Personality Development: Self-reflection journals and communication skill tasks such as role-plays and presentations.

3. Mid-Term Evaluation (20%)

  • All Courses: A mid-term assessment tailored to each course will be conducted to evaluate students’ progress halfway through the program. This could include:
    • Spoken English: A mid-term oral exam.
    • IELTS: A comprehensive practice test simulating the real exam.
    • PTE: A full-length PTE simulation.
    • Personality Development:A A self-assessment interview and communication skills evaluation.

4. Final Project or Exam (25%)

  • All Courses: The final assessment will include a major project, presentation, or exam, depending on the course:
    • Spoken English: A final oral presentation on a selected topic.
    • IELTS: A final mock exam covering all modules.
    • PTE: A final PTE simulation exam.
    • Personality Development: A personal interview and final presentation demonstrating overall development.

OUTCOME

  1. Students who complete the assessments successfully will demonstrate significant improvement in their respective areas, with skills that are measurable and aligned with the course objectives. This comprehensive evaluation ensures readiness for real-world challenges, whether in language proficiency tests, professional settings, or personal development.
  2. This policy balances formative (ongoing) and summative (final) assessments, allowing for continuous feedback and growth while preparing students for the ultimate goal of excelling in their chosen areas.

5. Payment Terms & Conditions

  • Payment Schedule:
  1. Initial Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total course fee is required to secure your enrollment. This deposit will be deducted from the total course fee.
  2. Full Payment: The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the first class. Full payment can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or any other approved payment method.
  3. Installment Option: We offer an installment plan for students who prefer to pay in segments:
    • First Installment: 50% of the remaining balance is due by the first week of the course.
    • Second Installment: The final 50% is due by the fourth week of the course.
    • Late payments may incur a 5% penalty fee on the outstanding balance.
  • Missed Classes and Make-Up Policy:
  1. No refunds or credits will be given for missed classes. However, we offer one complimentary make-up session for missed classes with prior notification.
  2. Additional make-up sessions can be arranged with no extra fee, subject to trainer availability.
  • Course Transfer:
  1. Request for Transfer: Students may request to transfer to another course of equal or lesser value before the start of the course. Transfers after the course has started are subject to approval and availability.
  2. Fee Adjustment: If transferring to a course with a higher fee, the student must pay the difference before the transfer is finalized. No refunds will be issued for transferring to a course with a lesser fee.
  • Discounts and Promotions:
  1. Early Bird Discount: A 10% discount is available for students who pay the full course fee at least 20 days before the course start date.
  2. Group Discounts: We offer a 15% discount for group enrollments of 5 or more students.
  3. Referral Program: Refer a friend and get a 5% discount on your next course enrollment. The discount applies once the referred student completes their payment.
  • Payment Methods:
  1. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, UPI, or any other method specified by the institute.
  2. Receipts will be issued for all payments made. Please retain these for your records.
  • Financial Assistance:
  1. We offer limited financial assistance and scholarships based on merit and need. Please contact our office for more details on how to apply.

6. Course Material and Intellectual Property

1. Accessibility of Course Materials

  • All Course materials will be made available online through our learning management system (LMS). Students will have 24/7 access to lectures, practice exercises, reading materials, and supplementary resources.

2. Supplementary Resources

  • Spoken English: Additional resources, such as audio files, pronunciation guides, and vocabulary lists, will be provided to enhance learning.
  • IELTS: Students will receive access to a variety of IELTS practice books, sample essays, and past exam papers.
  • PTE: PTE-specific resources, including interactive practice tests and video tutorials, will be provided.
  • Personality Development: Students will receive handouts on body language, communication skills, and leadership strategies, along with recommended reading lists.

3. Use of Digital and Multimedia Tools

  • All Courses: A variety of multimedia tools, including videos, interactive quizzes, and audio recordings, will be used to cater to different learning styles. This ensures that students remain engaged and can practice using real-world scenarios.
  • IELTS/PTE: Students will have access to software that simulates the actual test environment, allowing them to practice in conditions similar to the exam.

4. Copyright and Usage Rights

  • All Courses: Students are expected to use the provided course materials strictly for their personal study. Redistribution or sharing of materials outside the course is prohibited to protect intellectual property rights.
  • Personality Development: Specially designed content and proprietary methods will be shared, and students must respect the confidentiality and proprietary nature of these materials.

5. Updates and Revisions

  • All Courses: Course materials will be periodically updated to reflect the latest trends and requirements. Students will be notified of any changes and will have access to the most current versions.

7. Student Support

Academic Support

  • Students will have access to one-on-one tutoring sessions and group study sessions. Instructors are available during specified office hours to answer questions, clarify doubts, and provide guidance on assignments and exam preparation.

Technical Support

  • A dedicated technical support team is available to assist students with any issues related to accessing online course materials, navigating the LMS, or using digital tools required for the course. Support is available via email, chat, or phone, 24/7.

Counseling and Mentorship

  • Personality Development: Students will have access to personalized mentorship from experienced professionals who provide career advice, help set personal goals, and guide students through challenges related to personal growth and communication skills.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

  • IELTS/PTE: Regular feedback sessions are scheduled where students can discuss their progress with instructors. Personalized feedback is given on practice tests, speaking tasks, and written assignments to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Spoken English: Continuous feedback will be provided on speaking exercises, with additional practice sessions scheduled for areas needing improvement.

Access to Learning Resources

  • Students will have access to a digital library that includes e-books, journals, and other academic resources. Additionally, students can request access to specific resources that may be required for deeper study on particular topics.

8. Termination Policy

1. Academic Performance

  • At English Avenue we believe in Results and improvement so, students must meet minimum academic standards, including achieving passing grades in assessments and maintaining active participation in course activities.
  • Failure to meet these standards after receiving warnings and support may result in termination from the course.

2. Attendance

  • Consistent attendance is required for all live sessions. If a student misses more than 25% of the scheduled classes without a valid reason, they may be subject to termination.

3. Code of Conduct Violations

  • Behavioral Expectations: Students are expected to adhere to the institute’s code of conduct. This includes maintaining respect in all communications, avoiding plagiarism, and not engaging in any form of harassment. Violations may result in immediate termination from the course.

4. Payment Issues

  • Fee Payment: Tuition fees must be paid according to the agreed-upon schedule. Failure to make payments after multiple reminders could lead to termination from the course. Students will be given an opportunity to discuss financial difficulties before this action is taken.
